Fusion of soul and groove / Afro Fusion

AfroMbollo is an eclectic mix of talented musicians, featuring Kween G, has been created by one of Australia's leading African musicians, Yacou Mbaye. With a passion for bringing his Senegalese griot roots to Australia, Yacou’s connection to the traditions and stories from his forefathers is carried forward in this fusion of soul and groove. Mbollo means come together in Senegal’s Wolof language, so join us for an unforgettable night of music and community.

Joining AfroMbollo is internationally acclaimed, multi-instrumentalist, Lamine Sonko. Lamine is a brilliant percussionist, dancer, singer,  composer,  guitarist  and artistic director  born in Dakar, Senegal, and now based in Melbourne. Founding director of The Knowing Project and frontman of The African Intelligence band, this charismatic talented award winning musician is playing in Sydney for one night only. He will be joining the formidable Yacou Mbaye on stage, and together they will create a musical spectacular that is guaranteed to be something special!  https://www.laminesonko.com
