Library Siesta 'What You're Worth' Album Launch
With Ainsley Farrell & Birthday Girl
***This event will take place on the stolen land of the Gadigal people of the Eora nation. The organisers pay respects to Gadigal Elders past and present. Sovereignty was never ceded***
Indie-rock darlings Library Siesta invite you to join them for a very special evening celebrating the release of their second full-length album, ‘What You're Worth’.
Almost seven years in the making, the album explores the fragility of self-worth: how it can be shaped by the way others treat us, unintentionally distorted by putting someone else on a pedestal, or worn down over time by holding onto guilt for too long.
‘What You’re Worth’ was selected as Feature Album of the Week on 2ser and packet album on FBi Radio. It includes AMRAP chart-topping lead single, ‘I Wouldn’t Mind’, as well as their much loved follow-ups ‘Insignificant Other’ and ‘Second Teenagehood’.
They will be joined by indie-folk songwriter Ainsley Farrell in support, accompanied by her full-band and fresh off the back of a string of powerful, determined singles. On opening duties will be dream pop four-piece Birthday Girl, featuring members of The S-Bends and Okin Osan. This lineup is not to be missed.
Praise for Library Siesta:
“I think it’s just got this special quality. You can feel the closeness, you can feel that really considered, pristine beauty” - Declan Byrne, Triple J
“Melodically rich and dazzling indie-rock... Definitely a group to watch” Lachlan Holland, 2ser & Tone Deaf
“One of the hottest bands from Eora/Sydney right now” - Lill Scott, FBi Radio
"Intoxicating indie charm and '90s guitar-guided nostalgia... brilliant.” - Jonny Nail, Rolling Stone Australia
