*TIX ADDED* Thando Presents “Life in Colour"
Soul and R&B returns to The Night Cat as Zimbabwean songstress thando releases her much anticipated second EP Life in Colour.
Displacement, global perceptions of blackness and confronting white supremacy through the lens of the immigrant experience - Life In Colour drives complex social issues out of the peripherals and into plain view. Thando reminds us: “Black is not a monolith, the way you are doesn’t make you anomalous” - touching on the idea that belonging, acceptance and self-expression all need to intersect for freedom to be truly realised.
The African diaspora comes together for a celebration of Zimbabwean culture and music at this Bla(c)kout event. Artists such as KYE, Francoistunes, Zii and more pack out the Night Cat for this not-to-be-missed evening. Priority pricing and entry is provided for all BIPOC identifying patrons.
Support from Bumpy and PRICIE and DJ MzRizk
