BIO:
Tamil Rogeon’s Wave Theory is an album of exploratory electric jazz, taking inspiration from the jazz fusion movements of the 70s and 80s. Following his 2021 release, ‘Son of Nyx,’ Tamil Rogeon again joins forces with heavyweights of Melbourne’s thriving jazz scene to conjure textured soundscapes rich with cosmic synths, extended forms, soaring vocals and deep jazz funk.
Solar Cells dreamlike synthesiser music is inspired by the legendary sounds of the 1970’s Kosmische scene, conjuring a mesmerising exploration of hypnotic electronic pulses and atmospheric animations elevating into the ecstatic. After a sell out Corner Hotel gig supporting Black Cab in 2023, Solar Cells launch Warm Spell, utilising the New Vision System ‘76, featuring special guest collaborator, Sooji Kim.
We acknowledge that this event will be held on Wurundjeri land of the Kulin Nation and recognise that sovereignty was never ceded. We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging.
