Event Details

Squid Nebula is a collaborative ensemble pairing disco groove, psychedelic textures and jazz-infused harmony, coming together to create a live experience that is equal parts mesmerising, affirming and joyous.

Mainstays of Narrm’s soul and disco scenes, Squid Nebula are fronted by hypnotic soul artist and proud Noongar woman Bumpy and boast members from all corners of Narrm’s tight knit music community including members of Quality Used Cars, Bailey Judd, Bohjass and Millar Jukes and the Muscle.

Following the release of their 2020 EP ‘Connectivity’, performances at Strawberry Fields and Loch Hart Music Festival and regular late night residencies around Narrm, Squid Nebula are gearing up for the release of their evocative, infectiously danceable debut album “From Here To You”.

On their neo-psych disco concept album ‘From Here To You’, the band say “From Here To You explores perspectives on life and relationships within an overarching theme of the end of a world. We know what that means to each of us, but hope that different people can let out to relate to whatever the world they wish it too.”

‘Birds of Prey’ the second single to be released from ‘From Here To You’ will be out on July 19th, 2023

We acknowledge that this event will be held on Wurundjeri land of the Kulin Nation and recognise that sovereignty was never ceded. We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging.
