Event Details

They’re back! Following on from a hugely successful Australian tour earlier this year, M. Ward & The Undertakers return to continue the 20th anniversary celebrations of the critically acclaimed album Transfiguration of Vincent. This time taking his music to all the spaces and places that missed out back in February.

And they’re taking Folk Bitch Trio along for the ride.

Hailing from Portland, Oregon, prolific singer-songwriter and guitarist M. Ward is known to many, whether this is through his mesmerising folky/bluesy Transfiguration of Vincent released back in 2003 or his collaboration with Zooey Deschanel in She and Him, or perhaps as a member of indie supergroup Monsters of Folk?

Either way, M. Ward is a great musician, and we can’t wait to have him and the mighty Undertakers perform at Altar later this year.

Fans can experience classic M. Ward tunes from one of the greatest blues-inspired Americana albums ever created as well as new music from his latest album Supernatural Thing (2023) which features a number of excellent collaborations with First Aid Kit, Neko Case, and Shovels & Rope.
