Twilight at Taronga and Electric Lady have formed a unique partnership in 2018 with Electric Lady Presents - the all female lineup show featuring Montaigne, Tired Lion and Sloan Peterson - and we can't wait!

Electric Lady is inspired by the movement of women electrifying their voices, guitars and rights across the world. Australian musician Holly Rankin (Jack River/Director of The Hopeless Utopian) developed the idea around conversations with fellow musicians Ali Barter, Alex Lahey, Montaigne, Lisa Mitchell, Kita Alexander and Gretta Ray (to name a few) about the incredible surge of women in music and how powerful it would be to join together to amplify this. Electric Lady is a platform to amplify the strength of women in music, politics, science, sport and beyond.

A show featuring Montaigne is a must see. The J Award nominated and ARIA Award winning songstress released her debut album Glorious Heights to a #4 debut on the ARIA charts in 2016. In 2017 Montaigne began the year with two songs on triple j's Hottest 100 - 'Because I Love You' at #25 and '1955' (with Hilltop Hoods) at #4.

Montaigne was a triple j Unearthed Finalist in 2012 with 'Anyone But Me', has toured with Hilltop Hoods, Boy & Bear and Megan Washington, sold out two national tours and appeared at many of Australia's favourite festivals.

Indie rock band Tired Lion formed in Perth in 2010 and have released two EPs - All We Didn't Know (2013) and 2015's Figurine. The hit single 'I Don't Think You Like Me' from Figurine led to the J Award for Unearthed Artist of 2015. Tired Lion's debut album Dumb Days has recently been released.

Sloan Peterson is a love child of 50's guitar pop and modern garage rock, bursting with warmth that's inseparable from her private identity. Influenced by everything from Elvis, to Latin legend Xavier Cugat and the fashion statements of Nancy Sinatra and Bowie - Sloan Peterson is the sum of these influences that adds up to so much more. Her EP is a work in progress.

Taronga Zoo is a not for profit organisation. All proceeds from Twilight at Taronga will go towards Taronga's conservation projects.
