To celebrate the release of their debut self-titled LP, Melbourne five-piece Wild Meadows are heading to Sydney for a special show at the Oxford Art Factory Gallery Bar, with support from Miners and The Nah.

Originally formed by James Ross (vocals/guitar) and Donovan Pill (bass), Wild Meadows independently released its first EP in 2015. An explorative and confident debut, it received considerable radio play on the likes of Triple R FM and led to the band performing extensively throughout Melbourne.

Following a change of lineup in mid-2016, Wild Meadows set about writing material for a full-length album. The addition of new members saw the band take on a slightly more psych-rock infused sound, while still remaining true to the jangly noise-pop of its origins. After honing these new tracks at numerous live shows the band engaged Paul 'Woody' Annison (Black Cab, Rocket Science) to record, mix and produce the LP at Red Door Sounds in Collingwood, VIC. Mastered by William Bowden (The Church, Gotye), the result is an exhilarating eight-tracker that achieves an impressive balance of dark, roaring crescendos with gentle, hazy ballads.

This will be Wild Meadows only appearance in Sydney as part of this tour. The band also has a Melbourne launch show scheduled for early April.

Praise for Wild Meadows' 'Feel the Noise': "...a classic shoegaze anthem redolent with swirling vocals, waves of sparkling guitar and gob-smacking choruses grander than the Simpson Desert." - Backseat Mafia

"There's a wild sense of pop sensibilities that both push the song forward while still ingraining it in the shoegaze wizardry of their contemporaries." - AAA Backstage

"...a wonderfully melodious wall of sound." - Dom Allesio, Triple J

Praise for Wild Meadows' debut EP: "This is a brilliantly executed debut release from Wild Meadows. It showcases some really impressive songwriting skills with tracks that loop; arc through layers of effected sound-waves; vocal tones to die for."
