MALAGURSKI CINEMA is delighted to announce the details of the Adelaide premiere of The Weight of Chains, with Boris Malagurski himself joining the audiences on the night as a very special guest. Cinema Palace Nova - 250 Rundle Street, Adelaide. Please arrive at 6pm for a sharp 6.30pm start.
THE WEIGHT OF CHAINS is a full-length documentary (124 minutes) which examines the historical, political, economic and social context of the breakup of Yugoslavia. The film takes a critical look at the role that other countries may have played in the dissolution of the Yugoslav state. The documentary contains rare stock footage never before seen by audiences, as well as first-hand reporting, and a roster of interviews with academics, diplomats, media personalities and ordinary citizens of the former Yugoslav republics.
The main point of the film is to prove that Yugoslavia has been colonised and that the real heroes of the Yugoslav wars were ordinary citizens whose stories of courage are covered in the film.
Please note that there will be no tickets sold at the door on the day of premiere! The cinema capacity of 220 is expected to sell out very quickly.
