Blue Mountains via Newtown hip-hop heroes Thundamentals, have emerged from the studio with a brand new offering in the form of their latest single 'Never Say Never' and a huge slew of tour dates to boot. The single was premiered on Triple J's Good Nights and fans were not disappointed.
I guess the song is kinda about making the most of the cards that life deals you. Maintaining confidence and self belief in the face of adversity. So what you drive a 94' Corolla? Chuck some rims on that banger and fang some bloody laps mate!! Jeswon explains.
Fresh off the back of performing to massive arena crowds across Australia and New Zealand with Macklemore x Ryan Lewis, Thundamentals will head out on the road for a bunch of live shows from October to December for their Never Say Never tour! This marks their first headline run since their massive sold out Elephant In The Room Tour last year, which took them around the country for 25 shows and performing to almost 20,000 Thundakats.
"An all encompassing and energetic live show. It's equal parts style and substance with Jeswon and Tuka throwing their bodies across the stage one moment then delivering eloquent rapid-fire bars the next. It's almost alarming how at home Thundamentals are on an arena stage" - David James Young, The Brag
The Never Say Never Tour will see the band showcase a brand new live show and debut a collection of brand new material along with songs from their entire catalogue.
"We can't wait to road test new material on this tour, we'll be playing a bunch of songs for the first time ever" Tuka has said of the upcoming tour.
Supports for this auspicious undertaking are heavy hitters in their own right. Australian Hip Hop stalwart PEZ is making his live return after 2 years locked away working on his follow up to the 2008 album 'A Mind Of My Own'. Sharing warm up duties is teenage up & comer MC Mallrat on her debut national tour - no stranger to topping the Hype Machine charts, these will be her debut shows in many markets and just after her 18th birthday.
Four releases deep and coming off their celebrated 2014 album 'So We Can Remember', Thundamentals live show has become a force to be reckoned with. Thundakats be warned to get in quick as tickets won't last.
