Fresh from the release of their debut EP The End of Time, Sydney outfit The Tambourine Girls - led by front-man Simon Relf - have today announced a debut headline tour in August to celebrate new single 'Ghosts'.

Simon Relf on his inspiration behind the single;

"'Ghosts' came from thinking about the idea that all is forgiven when we die. I find it really interesting how much people are prepared to forget after someone's not around anymore. People say they're afraid of ghosts, but no ghost has ever caused as much trouble as a person..."

Released in May, the EP is a blend of Relf's country, psychedelia, rock and Brit-pop songwriting influences. Produced by Sydney stalwart Tony Buchen (The Preatures, Andy Bull, Megan Washington), the EP has snared international support, with leading single 'Blood and Bones'receiving acclaimed reviews from the UK, Europe, United States and at home in Australia.

The release of the EP coincided with Relf's debut performances to over 2,500 punters as main support on Dustin Tebbutt's completely sold-out national tour in May.

The Tambourine Girls' debut headline shows will include dates in Sydney, Melbourne, Wollongong and Cronulla featuring a full band line-up consisting of members of Deep Sea Arcade and Dustin Tebbutt's touring band.

Stream 'Ghosts' now via Soundcloud.
