The Stabs + The Holy Soul
After performing their first show in two years to a sell-out crowd in Melbourne, The Stabs are coming to Sydney for their first headline show in over three years.
Following what was to be a one-off show in Melbourne, this single Sydney date comes by popular demand. Heading north to celebrate the vinyl re-release of their albums Dirt and Dead Wood, The Stabs will perform songs from both records as well as their long-in-the-works third album.
Since forming in 2003, The Stabs have been famed for their loud, brash live shows, mixing signature Melbourne swamp and noise with pop sensibilities to make one of Australia's most beloved rock n' roll bands. Their infamous live show has seen them tour domestically and internationally with the likes of Mudhoney, Rowland S. Howard, Lubricated Goat, The Scientists, as well as being hand-picked to perform at Nick Cave & The Bad Seed's ATP Festival.
Amidst a downtime that has seen them absent from stages for over two years, The Stabs recently had their two albums reissued on vinyl for the first time on Homeless Records, accompanied by a one-off, sold-out show in Melbourne. Now it's Sydney's turn.
For their Sydney date, they will be joined by perennial local favourites and experienced Stabs tour mates The Holy Soul, performing their first and last show for some time. Further guests will be added in the coming days.
