The Stormrider Heavy Metal Festival is back for another year to celebrate our love of Power, Thrash, Speed, Prog and Traditional Heavy Metal

The Civic Hotel in Perth will play host to the epic all day Metal Festival on May 23 and will feature five of the nations top touring bands and four top local Perth acts

Headlining the day are Australia's finest melodic/power act, the mighty Lord who will be showcasing their world class musicianship and song writing.

Perth's own power metal heroes Silent Knight will premier some tracks off their forthcoming new album while Melbourne's Harlott and Alkira from the small SA town of Strathalbyn bring the thrash attack whilst Melbourne's Anarion deliver plenty of power metal. Melbourne speed freaks Espionage make their interstate debut and Perth old school thrashers Dethlahem round out the original artists.

The day will open with some kick ass anthems courtesy of Metallica tribute act, 4 Horsemen and Morphica who offer up their own tunes and some spectacular versions of Dream Theater & Symphony X songs.

The Stormrider merch range has taken a leap forward this year with long sleeve t-shirts, hoodies and girls shirts available for pre order & short sleeve t-shirts available on the day.

All originals playing bands have supplied a song each which will be available for FREE via the QR code found on the event poster and on the cover of the must-have Stormrider Compilation CD which will also be given away at select promotions and events leading up to the festival
