Simon Tedeschi is one of Australia's most renowned and sought-after pianists, performing throughout Europe, North America and Asia, including at Carnegie Hall. Winner of many prestigious prizes in Australia and overseas, he has performed for world leaders such as the Crown Prince and Princess of Denmark, George W. Bush, Vladimir Putin, Nelson Mandela, and the Dalai Lama.

Based in the USA for several years, since returning to Sydney in 2010, Tedeschi has performed concerts and workshops all over Australia - this year for Queensland Music Festival, Sydney Opera House, Musica Viva and with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.

One of the few classical pianists able to cross into jazz improvisation, in addition to critically acclaimed recordings of Grieg, Tchaikovsky and Mozart concertos, Tedeschi's jazz-leaning releases include Woodlands with Kevin Hunt, and following the success of 2012's Gershwin & Me, ABC Classics is thrilled to present Gershwin: Take Two. An exuberant second volume of works by this masterful American composer and songwriter, Take Two also features guest appearances from Australian jazz legend James Morrison, and one of the rising stars of the international music stage, ARIA Award-winning jazz singer Sarah McKenzie.
