Niche are proud to announce that in addition to the Melbourne Festival dates already announced that Rhye will be playing their first ever Australian show at Oxford Art Factory on October 17th.
Rhye is the creation of the combined creative force of Canadian singer Milosh and Danish instrumentalist Robin Hannibal.
Rhye shot to the top of everyone's most listened to lists with their breathtaking and enigmatic 2013 album, 'WOMAN', which featured the sultry debut single "OPEN" which has received over 13 million views to date. Since the mysterious unfolding of the music and story of their acclaimed and deeply moving breakthrough album, Milosh built a magnificent band around his unique and incredible voice to tour around the world and play the music live and they have been captivating and flabbergasting audiences ever since. This live recording at the Boiler Room in Los Angeles captures some of the raw energy, exceptional musicianship and beautiful song writing. With Pitchfork and The BBC watching their every step and the live and recorded work generating praise everywhere it went, Rhye have gone on to sell out shows right across the US, Europe and beyond.
Rhye are visiting Australia exclusively for their Melbourne festival dates and this single Sydney side show, so although somewhat a tease for their Australia-wide fan base, these shows do promise to be the start of a long and fulfilling relationship with their Australian music fans.
