Sydney-based boutique PR & events agency, Rare Finds are proud to announce their Sydney club night's third birthday - presented by Oporto and Pilerats, and supported by Mountain Goat Beer, Arthur St. Studios and Sailor Jerry. Set to take over both rooms at Oxford Art Factory on Saturday 21 April, Rare Finds third birthday will be a celebration of the last three years of Rare Finds nights.
The milestone will be celebrated with an exceptional line-up led by Bootleg Rascal who will be joined by rising stars Gold Member, Halcyon Drive, Georgia June, Approachable Members of Your Local Community, JAMO, Househats, Aikonawena, Essie Holt, Desert Moons, Nikkita Ra and Sophisticated Dingo.
Passionate about providing a strong local live platform for outstanding emerging artists, the team behind Rare Finds launched a monthly-curated event in April 2015 with the aim of becoming one of the strongest showcases in Sydney. Over the last three years, the events continue to regularly hit capacity.
Since their inception in 2013, Bootleg Rascal have continually released critically praised music and traversed the globe putting on stellar live performances. After wrapping up label touring festival Shake 'n' Bake alongside roster mates Boo Seeka, Gold Member and The Moving Stills, the band are currently working on their second full length album alongside long-time collaborator and producer, Ian Pritchett (Boo Seeka, Kim Churchill). A new cut from the record will be unveiled early-April.
Gold Member worked tirelessly in 2017, appearing on a swag of festivals including Festival of the Sun, Woodford Folk Festival, Beyond the Valley and Party in the Paddock. The group toured nationally with Kim Churchill, Lime Cordiale and Boo Seeka - who also took the group on their European run of dates. The trio have just been announced as a support for The Lulu Raes May national album tour and will reveal a new single in the coming weeks.
Melbourne-based indie-rock group Halcyon Drive have recently unveiled tour dates and their latest single 'Silver Ray' - a compelling track lifted from their forthcoming debut album (due 2018). Since its release, the song has been supported by the likes of triple j, Indie Shuffle (USA), Pilerats and Music Feeds.
The rest of the line-up will be rounded off with local pop-rock crowd favourites Georgia June, indie-pop collective Approachable Members of Your Local Community, electronic producer JAMO, post-punk trio Househats, Melbourne indie-pop songstress Essie Holt and exciting new acts Aikonawena, Nikkita Ra, Desert Moons and Sophisticated Dingo.
Nice Juan DJ's, Buddy System DJ's and DJ Corporate Guy will be spinning records on the night.
