OC (D.I.T.C.) with DJ Boogie Blind (X-Ecutioners) and Brad Strut perform in Sydney. Special Guest - the Godfather of British Hip Hop - Rodney P

SimmerDown Productions are proud to announce the first ever Australian appearance of OC from the infamous Hip Hop crew D.I.T.C. SimmerDown have reached out to get arguably one of the underground s finest MCs to Australia in February 2015.

OC's first album Word Life to his follow up Jewelz has established him as a foundation contributor of the New York Boom Bap sound. Not to mention his contribution to the DJ Premier produced classic Return of the Crooklyn Dodgers which also featured Masta Ace, Chubb Rock and Jeru the Damaja.

In 2012, OC joined forces with a true school Detroit producer Apollo Brown to create a modern day classic Trophies. This album was critically acclaimed as fifteen tracks of unapologetically pure uncut hip-hop by rapreviews.com and has been claimed as 2012 s best Hip Hop album by many reviewers.

Earlier in 2014, the pairing of OC with talented beatsmith Ray West produced their debut collaborative full-length, Ray's Cafe,

OC will be performing in Sydney with the Godfather of British Hip Hop - Rodney P from the seminal UK hip hop group London Posse. Inspiring a whole generation of British emcees and producers by being the first to rap in his authentic London accent, he produced a homegrown hip hop/reggae vibe that is distinctly rooted in the UK.

Australian Hip Hop Pioneer - Brad Strut will also be performing.

Mr Clean, Shan Frenzie, DJ Mathmatics and More Judgement add to this stellar line up.

Rodney P has collaborated with fellow UK hip hop giants; Skinnyman, Blak Twang, Roots Manuva and The Nextmen; featured on various soul and R&B productions with artists such as Omar, Terri Walker and The Brand New Heavies; and appeared on dance and electro tracks with MJ Cole, Roni Size, The Stanton Warriors, Timo Maas and recently, French producer/DJ Flore. More unusual affiliations with artists like Bjork and Nitin Sawhney demonstrate his role as a genre defying emcee as well as reflecting his own diverse musical taste.
