Danish songstress MØ is headed to Australia for the very first time to perform an exceptionally intimate and exclusive set at renowned Sydney venue Good God Small Club on Tuesday, October 29.
M (AKA Karen Marie rsted) landed on everyone's radar when she posted the emotive, lush synthscapes of 'Maiden' online in May 2012, and followed up with a stunning turn at CMJ in New York in the autumn. Likened to the sounds of Grimes meets Lykke Li, M was soon to be tipped by the likes of Pitchfork, The Guardian, The Line of Best Fit and NME, and voted onto the longlist of the Blog Sound of 2013.
She dropped her beat-driven glitch-pop debut single 'Pilgrim' via Chess Club / Neon Gold / Nook Nook in February, and stormed SxSW in Austin, Texas the following month. Both 'Pilgrim' and its B-side, a remix by new label-mates MS MR, topped the Hypemachine chart upon debut.
In the background, M has been in the studio, working on her debut album with Ronni Vindahl of Danish producer entity No Wav. It will be released in Australia via Sony later this year.
Tickets are strictly limited to M 's first Australian headline appearance. Members of the Secret Sounds and Good God mailing lists will have access to a limited pre-sale before tickets are released to the general public.
