Mess & Noise Presents 'New Year, New Music' w/ Spookyland and Au.Ra
Goodgod Small Club and some of Australia's top music sites are teaming up for a summer series showcasing some of the most exciting bands, and ones to watch for 2015.
Each gig is curated with the Small Club and the editors of Same Same, FasterLouder, inthemix and Mess+Noise to bring together an exciting and eclectic line up of Australian music. Best of all, it's entirely free.
The series includes progressive synth pop duo Divine Knights, Sydney's most notorious pop songwriter Brendan Maclean and Sydney's best party DJ's Heaps Gay DJs presented by Same Same this Saturday January 10. New Sydney solo artist Hannah Joy whose very few releases but powerful live shows have taken audiences by storm and goth-garage outfit Julia Why presented by Faster Louderon January 15. Plus, experimental producer Zuri Akoko and disco/house producer/DJ and general music dude Frames will be bought to you by inthemix on January 17.
The series wraps on Thursday January 22 with Mess+Noise presenting Dylan-esque troubadour Spookyland whose debut EP Rock n Roll Weakling has propelled him to an international audience paired with Au.Ra, a brand new psychedelic collaborative project with Tom Crandles (Colours/Ghostwood) and Tim Jenkins (Parades), who recently announced their debut album out on US label felte early 2015.
