JADE HURLEY OAM is recognised as one of the greatest singer/songwriter/piano-playing showmen Australia has ever produced. “The Man In Black”, JOHNNY CASH, paid him the greatest compliment when he told the press in Cork, Ireland, after Jade performed with him and JUNE CARTER CASH at the Cork Opera House that Jade was, “The hardest act I have ever had to follow on stage – and this includes legends like Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis and Waylon Jennings”.

The great Johnny O'Keefe bestowed on him the title of "Australia's King Of Country Rock".

It was the late Johnny Cash who stated quite openly that Aussie Entertainment legend Jade Hurley was the best act he had ever worked with and was quoted in the Irish Press as saying ... "If I wasn't who I am, I would find it very hard to follow him on any stage anywhere in the world ... he's one hell of a showman and entertainer this Aussie ... and boy, can he play that piano".

Jade Hurley first came to notice as a 14 year old singing in a talent quest in the beer garden of a Sydney hotel. Johnny O'Keefe saw enough to launch his career on the historic television program "Six O'Clock Rock" ... the rest is history.

Jade Hurley OAM, with more Gold, Platinum, and Double Platinum albums than he can count, forged a career that has left him with true legendary status in a tough and demanding industry.

From "Six O'Clock Rock" and "Bandstand" to his own regular segment on the ground breaking "Mike Walsh Show", he became an instant hit on Television New Zealand's "That's Country" ... followed in Australia by "Midday" with Ray Martin and Kerri Anne Kennerley on the NINE Network ... and Bert Newton on TEN. This incredible performer has always, over all of these years, been in huge demand.

Still, after sell-out tours of Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, USA, England and Europe, Jade performs to packed houses, audiences of all ages and to standing ovations. His "over the top" flamboyant costumes and performances coupled with his unique ability to mix his classic Rock n Roll hits with Country music, brings every audience to it's feet.

Jade Hurley, the singer, songwriter and musician is more than an entertainer. Because of personal publicised tragedy at times in his life, his caring nature has achieved an enormous amount in helping others.

In recent years, Jade has been rightly recognised for his nurturing of up and coming musicians and entertainers as well as being a major supporter and fundraiser for the Australian Cancer Foundation for Medical Research, The Arthritis Foundation, Heart Foundation, Camp Quality, and he is Patron of the Blind and Visually Impaired.

For this reason, as well as for his contribution to the Australian Music Industry and the community at large, he was awarded the highly prestigious Order of Australia Medal (OAM) in the Queens Birthday Honors List.

As well as being a headline act in his own right, Jade Hurley has toured with some of the all time greats including America's JOHNNY and JUNE CARTER CASH, DON WILLIAMS, BOXCAR WILLIE and WOODY HERMAN throughout Ireland, Europe, America, New Zealand and Australia.

Jade Hurley is the ultimate survivor in the Australian Music Industry, and has without doubt, lived up to the tag bestowed on him by the great Johnny O'Keefe ...
