Tipped as a band to watch by Pitchfork, NME and The Guardian on the strength of their debut EP, HIGH HIGHS will be home in Australia to show off their wares at Laneway Festival. Melbourne and Sydney fans will be treated to the hypnotic live experience with two intimate shows at The Toff In Town and Oxford Art Factory.
The Sydney natives have now relocated to Brooklyn; but the chaos and cold have done little to diminish their dreamy, atmospheric sun kissed pop.
"Synth-laced acoustica with pop choruses; lullabies with bite."
- The Guardian, New Band of the Day
"The EP is a breathtaking debut from the three-piece, providing stunning vocals and quietly confident instrumentation, with much promise for the future."
- Tone Deaf, 8.5/10
Their shimmering, harmony-laden indie pop has drawn favourable comparisons to Neil Young across the blogosphere. But their marriage of electronic indie and classic acoustic rock has created a dynamic widescreen sound of their own reckoning. High Highs are the not-to-be-missed act of the summer.
Tickets are on sale Thursday, November 29 at 9.00am. An exclusive pre-sale will be available to all those who have signed up to the Secret Sounds mailing list at http://secret-sounds.com.au by Wednesday, November 28 by midday ADST.
