GOLD FIELDS & KLP (LIVE)
Never before have our minds melted so instantaneously at the prospect of two of Australia's leading electronic acts coming together to form one epic night of live brilliance. Announcing a co-headline National tour featuring electro-chanteuse KLP alongside kaleidoscopic five-piece GOLD FIELDS as they bring their sunshine flavoured music around the country this June/July.
And if the anticipation for this pairing alone doesn't keep you awake at night; then the announcement of brand new music to coincide with the dates surely will. GOLD FIELDS' long awaited official new single, Lakeside, is slated for release on the eve of this tour alongside a collaborative FREE track, Make Me Feel, from KLP & GOLD FIELDS which will be offered to the public to celebrate the tour announcement.
This is an epic return for Ballarat born GOLD FIELDS, musically, emotionally and geographically. After two years of sharing their infectious sub-tropical house with the World, they're returning to their homeland with an imbued sense of identity and purpose, ready to re-define their music through a return to their roots. The purveyors of hypnotic pop and electronica further infuse their signature style by introducing a deeper and darker sophistication in their imminent new single, Lakeside, produced by GOLD FIELDS and mixed by Eric J Dubowsky (Flight Facilities, Flume Chet Faker). Whilst retaining their dreamscape vocals, melodies and syncopated rhythms which won them praise for their critically acclaimed debut album, Black Sun, GOLD FIELDS are exploring new territory which they will be showcasing on their first Australian live shows in almost two years.
KLP (Kristy Lee Peters) is on an exponential trajectory to the heights of the electronic stratosphere with collaborations underway with Skrillex and What So Not, not to mention her recent collaborations with Young Franco and Slumberjack which have won her international praise and kickstarted the KLParty DJ tour with Young Franco which just wrapped up. Off the back of this DJ tour which saw her exploit her talents on the decks to make crowds gyrate from East to West, is her latest venture, a live tour, which showcases her vocal talents alongside drummer Tim Commandeur (Panama) and acclaimed backing vocalist Lana Sayah. KLP has been polishing this brand new live act, like the gem that it is, in anticipation of sharing some of her infectious new tunes with audiences across the country for the first time ever.
Whether you're a connoisseur of dancing, an appreciator of new tunes or just down for a good time, Make Me Feel is the perfect opener to get you in the mood for one of the stand-out tours of the season. You've got the best of both worlds with live sets from KLP and GOLD FIELDS as well as supports from local DJ's on this co-headline tour this winter. Be sure to grab your golden ticket early to avoid extreme FOMO.
