DE LA SOUL
The pioneering Long Island expressionist rap/hip hop/funk crew has come a long way from their 1989 debut album '3 Feet High and Rising'. That album turned hip-hop upside down with puzzling samples of learn-French records, delirious skits, out-of-this-atmosphere poetics and naughty noise.     

De La Soul delivered iconic hits 'All Good', 'Me, Myself & I' and 'Ring, Ring, Ring' and their collaboration with Gorillaz on 'Feel Good Inc' earned them a Grammy Award in 2006.     

Their most recent album, 'And The Anonymous Nobody' is their first in 11 years but De La isn't afraid to hit the gas on a road less traveled - this album was completely funded by Kickstarter and features surprising (and wonderful) guests; Snoop Dogg, Estelle and Pete Rock, Justin Hawkins (The Darkness), Usher, Little Dragon and Damon Albarn. More than anything, the album proves De La Soul are just as powerful now as they were 30 years ago, both in album and live performances.
