'The show must go on' is a saying that we truly stand by here at Darkbeat HQ. It's not one we like to use often but one we will always embrace when the situation arises... unfortunately, now is one of those times:

Due to circumstances beyond our control, Darkbeat regretfully announces that Wehbba haspostponed his Australian tour and will not be playing for Darkbeat this Friday 8 July at the Railway Hotel Brunswick. We are very saddened by the news and certainly hope we can get him back behind the Darkbeat controls in the near future. Additionally, refunds will be processed for those who have already pre-purchased tickets via Moshtix.

Now, 'The Show Must Go On' and it provides a golden opportunity for our talented locals to take center stage & do what they do best! We're offering FREE ENTRY before 11pm if you RSVP by email to guestlist@darkbeat.com.au & $15 after 11pm on RSVP list (more on the door).

Once again we apologise for this unfortunate news but we'd still love to see you Friday for a night of rocking beats, cheap food + drinks, and a good old fashion party vibe as 'The Show Must Go On' with Darkbeat's first class locals leading the charge!

If you purchased your ticket online or over the phone through moshtix your ticket will be automatically refunded back to your credit card/PayPal account. It usually takes around 3 business days for the funds to return to your account.

It's been well over a year since the Brazilian powerhouse Wehbba has graced our shores and boy are we excited to have him back playing for Darkbeat once again! Whether it's collaborating with Swedish techno icon Christian Smith on remixes of tracks by Laurent Garnier or Funk D'Void or smashing out originals on high quality labels like Tronic, Systematic or Toolroom, there's no denying that he knows how to write a rocking tune. 

For those that saw him tear it up last year alongside Henry Saiz, you can attest to his unbelievable ability to smash out some of the finest techno. We can't wait to see what he has in store for us this time off the back of countless amazing shows across Europe and a string of performances at SONAR in Barcelona in June.

Wehbba is one of Brazil's true electronic music ambassadors. Born, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, this former dentist has been spinning house and techno music records for about a decade, working the crowds worldwide ever since his first international records got released, back in 2006. Wehbba has been an active producer for the past decade, and has developed a very distinct style, marked by stellar production skills. His achievements as a producer can be measured by the number of respected artists who he's worked with over the years, either remixers, remixees or collaborators. Although notably and actively working with Swedish legend Christian Smith, the list can be extended to the likes of Laurent Garnier, Robert Babicz, Bushwacka!, X-Press 2, Carlo Lio, Chris Lake, Samuel L Session, Funk D'Void, 16 Bit Lolitas, Sharam Jey, Valentino Kanzyani, Stephan Bodzin, 2000 And One, Kolombo, Mihalis Safras, Joseph Capriati, Coyu, Julian Sanza, to name only a few. His productions have been featured on labels like Tronic, Bedrock, Toolroom, Soma, Systematic, 100% Pure, Audiomatique, Skint, Trapez, Material, Missile, Suara and many others. 'Full Circle', Wehbba's first studio album, released by Tronic Music in 2010, was the landmark which set Wehbba's career off to a whole new level, reaching outstanding media success as well as sales and DJ support. Over the following years, he s been granted numerous spots at charts of portals like Beatport or Resident Advisor and is widely regarded as one of the scenes true rising stars.
