Perth party lords Metric Events (the brains behind Wonderland Festival, CIRCO Festival, Jack Rabbit Slims, Father and more) linked up with touring giants Zaccaria in February 2015 to give birth to Castaway, an epic music festival on the shores of much-loved holiday joint Rottnest Island, off WA's coast. Across two-sold out events, Peking Duk, Carmada, SAFIA, Sticky Fingers, George Maple and more have partied in paradise with Perth crew, with the sandy shores the perfect dance floor for sunset shenanigans. Castaway is all about cool beers, crystal blue waters, sunny skies, your mates by your side, and kicking back as the cream of the Aussie music scene send out hits over the surf, back dropped by bobbing boats.

Destroyer of dance floors, producer GOLDEN FEATURESis a hero of the Australian club scene, and of late has wow-ed many beyond our shores, too. The man in the golden mask has won everyone over with his shadowy, sultry bass productions and mastery of dark dynamics- he knows how to make emotive electronic music like no-one out. See this enigma in action as he gets Bribie Bay heaving with his insane energy.

We can only imagine how hectic Brisbane's DUNE RATS are gonna go on home turf!The much-loved Dunies unleash a tidal force of psych-punk every time they hit the stage - a kind of 'skateboarding in the daytime, drinking through the night' soundtrack. With a sense of humour as infectious as their sound, and always up for hijinks, these boys will shake up the island for sure.

After establishing his career dropping heavenly, saccharine beats, this year genius Perth producer SABLE let his alter ego escape - producing a darker, sinister yet still bass driven style under the name Shadow Sable. The two musical personalities duelled it out during sets onstage across Australia as part of Sable's epic, projection-heavy national URL LUV IRL adventure.Be ready in 2016 as Sable unleashes some crucial club bounce on the beach in Brisbane!

Brisbane young gun FEKI's melodic trap production comes off like the perfect mix between Ta-Ku and James Blake. From his international work with LA-based collective Team Supreme to the wicked future-chill vibes of single Remember that had the triple j airwaves buzzing last year, there's no doubt you'll fall hard for Feki at Castaway.

Fresh-faced rapper GILL BATESis leading the new wave of rap talent emerging from Australia right now, blowing everything you thought you knew about 'Aussie hip hop' right outta the water. Bates teams his rapid-fire flow and witty rhymes with awesome, dance-floor ready production: woozy synths, trap beats, and lurching bass - beats - totally perfect for the dance floor. Bates always peppers his sets with some smooth R & B numbers too, showing off his impressive crooning abilities. Believe us, Bates is the real deal - you'll be eating out of the palm of his hand by the end of his Castaway set.

One of Perth's most in-demand DJs, get ready for TINA SAYS to conjure up dark storm clouds in the sunny Brisbane skies, as she hits the Castaway stage to showcase her electrifying mix of dark bass vibes, high-energy house, deep techno and slow trap beats.

BEAUTIFUL BRIBIE
As soon as you get to the Bridge of the peninsula and get your first eyeful of Bribie Island, you'll realise exactly how gorgeous this place is. A national park covered in native bushland and wildflowers, and surrounded by calm bays and deep blue seas bursting with marine life, the whole place has a chill, laid-back community vibe. Queenslanders have a long-time love affair with this island; it's not hard to imagine why so many love spending their holidays on Bribie!

Get there early, go for a swim or a snorkel, sunbake. The island is yours to explore.
