In addition to an already announced Melbourne show at the Corner Hotel on Wednesday 4th January and appearances at Southbound Festival, Beyond The Valley Festival and Field Day over summer, Norway’s HIGHASAKITE today reveal details of an intimate Sydney show, to take place at Oxford Art Factory on Tuesday 3rd January.

Local songstress BEC SANDRIDGE will join Highasakite on both headline dates. A nomadic pop/punk logomaniac, Bec Sandridge has a guitar swagger reminiscent of St. Vincent, and the delivery of new wave icons like Deborah Harry and David Byrne. She has toured with the likes of Andy Bull, Owl Eyes, Passenger and more, and with a brand new single 'You're A Fucking Joke' just released and gaining traction at triple j, is an artist on the rise.

Following acclaimed debut LP Silent Treatment, which chalked up over two-years within the Norwegian Top 40 Chart, Highasakite released their sophomore album Camp Echo in May of this year. To coincide with the release of a Deluxe Version of Camp Echo, the band last week revealed a stunning acoustic take on the latest single 'Samurai Swords' alongside details of a new Live EP, both to be released on 2nd December just ahead of their Australian visit.

In Australia just last year to play the 2015 instalment of the national boutique Laneway Festival, Highasakite made a strong impression; the soaring pitch-perfect vocals and commanding on-stage presence of front-woman Ingrid Havik garnering Highasakite rave reviews as one of the most compelling up-and-coming acts in the world.

Of the band's London show earlier this year, The Line Of Best Fit wrote, "Augmented by an intense light show, vocalist Ingrid Helene H vik and her cohorts employed their harmonies and multi-instrumental talents to fantastic effect on an eclectic array of material, ranging from dark, impassioned numbers to the upbeat fan favourites..."

On 11th December, the five-piece will follow in the footsteps of musical icons like Paul McCartney, Elton John, Alicia Keys, Florence + The Machine and more, taking the stage for an anticipated performance at the 23rd annual Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Oslo, Norway, which will stream globally.
