The Best Live Performances From Rhythm & Vines 2020

After what can only be described as a tumultuous year, the music and events industry in New Zealand is on the road to recovery, with 20,000 festival-goers bringing in the New Year at New Zealand's largest music festival, Rhythm & Vines. To celebrate this incredible feat, we're throwing it back to our favourite performances from the festival. Check out our top picks below.

Netsky

Netsky's performance at R&V has got to be up there with the most iconic surprise festival performances of all time, a huge call, we know, but honestly, it was that good! The Belgian drum and bass producer took to the stage right after the official countdown, kicking off 2021 with some serious drum and bass heat.

QUIX

Kiwi producer QUIX made his first Rhythm and Vines appearance back in 2015, playing on the Cellar Stage to roughly 200 people. Things went down a little differently this time around, showcasing his killer production skills to 20,000 on the Vodafone Vines Stage!

LADI6

New Zealand's undisputed Queen of Hip-Hop, Soul and R&B, LADI6 truly was one of New Zealand's diamonds worth catching at R&V20. She absolutely killed it on the Vodafone Vines Stage alongside her dynamic backup dancers. Our personal fave track was her 2018 single 'Diagonals'.

SACHI

Musical duo Nick Chrisp and Will Thomas aka SACHI have certainly positioned themselves as festival favourites over the past few years. Their performance at R&V20 was a prime example of just how damn talented the kiwi duo really are. The atmosphere was truly palpable as the duo jumped around the stage, showcasing their brand new live show to their fans.

Paige

Another noteworthy performance came from young gun singer-songwriter, Paige. Performing on the R&V main stage for the first time, the newcomer took to the stage like a duck to water, bringing all the feels throughout her performance. If we had to choose our fave track from her set, Waves would get our vote!
