If you're a sucker for a '50s and '60s themed event, then Rosebud's Foreshore Rockfest has you covered!

Held over four days from 14-17 November, the festival celebrates all things groovy with cool cars, live music, dancing, retro clothing markets and a Pin-Up contest.

It all starts with Rock'n'roll trivia on Thursday with the official launch taking place on Friday evening under the Big-Top located on the Rosebud Carnival site, with special guest performance by Normie Rowe and The Playboys. The Elvis Beach Party also kicks off on Friday night on the Village Green, with the 14-piece Elvis Big Band complete with hula dancers and a double screening of Elvis movies at the outdoor cinema.

On Saturday morning the Rosebud town centre comes alive with Hot Rods, muscle cars and vintage caravan displays, '50s bands and street-jiving. Dance classes will also be held at the Memorial Hall for children aged 8-15 years in the styles of Rock 'n' Roll and Lindy Hop/Swing.

Late Saturday afternoon and into the evening, the Beach Party kicks off with more rock, more roll from Australia's favourite Rockabilly bands on The Village Green's Soundshell.

Sunday brings the Creative Custom Cars Classic Car Show, with hundreds of pre-1975's Hot Rods, Motorbikes and Vintage Caravans on show, rockabilly bands and for fashionistas, a vintage clothing and 'Pin-Up' contest.

The Rosebud Primary School continues with its fresh food market on Sunday from 8 am with great local music.
