Event Details

Surrounded by idyllic mountain peaks, natural bushland, expansive vineyards, lush agricultural pastures, and crystal-clear streams brimming with trout – Tumbarumba enjoys a mountain climate, favoured for award-winning vineyards, grass-fed beef and lamb, blueberries bursting with favour, and plantation forestry. Rain falls mostly in winter and spring, perfect for the grapes destined to make up the region’s cool climate wines.

With a local wine in hand and a warm beanie on your head, you’ll be listening to Busby Marou and Emily Wurramara up on stage at Winter Bites in Tumbarumba!

Busby Marou first met at a pub in Rockhampton, and they’ve loved regional gigs ever since [with a few big-ticket performances supporting the likes of Elton John, Bryan Adams and Zac Brown Band, of course]. You might’ve heard songs from their four ARIA Charting albums [including their latest, The Great Divide], and if you haven’t? Well, it’s time to rectify that.

Emily is originally from Groote Eylandt in the Northern Territory, and began her musical journey to help inspire and empower members of her community, especially young Indigenous women, to find their voice. Her debut album was ARIA-nominated and won an AIR award for Best Blues and Roots Album. She’s toured extensively across Australia, Canada and Ireland, and now you’ll be listening to her up on stage at Winter Bites!

Along with Busby Marou and Emily Wurramara, you’ll find Babitha, Corey Legge and Rory Phillips on the line-up!
