The livewire and angular melodies of Sachet team up with the toe-tapping tunes of Victoria.

Victoria is a project from long-time friends Cameron Emerson-Elliott (Youth Group), Alison Galloway (Smudge), Patrick Matthews (The Vines, Youth Group) and Max Doyle (Songs), four spry folks airing out the house of indie rock. Taking their inspiration (and their name) from The Kinks, and adding 80s/90s era Flying Nun acts and contemporary Australian bands like Dick Diver to the mix, Victoria’s strength lies is in their effortless ability to paint an evocative lyrical picture and set it to a memorable toe-tapping tune.

Sachet feature two members from now defunct Sydney shoegaze band Day Ravies – Lani Crooks (lead vocals, keyboards, guitar) and Sam Wilkinson (bass) – along with Nick Webb (guitar) and Kate Wilson (drums). Their livewire sound and arrangements bring a free-spirited swagger to bear to guitar pop. According to PopLibNZ “Sachet’s ultra-melodic guitar-based post-punk pop is a more choppy, angular, direct and concise form of pop-craft than Day Ravies.”

This is a Covid-safe show.  Pre-sale tickets only. No walk-ups.

Under 18s are welcome at the Petersham Bowling Club but must be accompanied by an adult.

The Petersham Bowling Club acknowledge the Gadigal of the Eora Nation as the traditional custodians of the land on which this show takes place and pay our respects to their Elders past and present, and emerging and extend those respects to the First Nations peoples of NSW and beyond.
