The Sisters of Invention chart new territory with long-awaited second album, 'Stranger', at The Lab

The worldwide success of their self-titled debut album smashed pre-conceptions about who can be a pop star, reaching over 100,000 people and winning fans at home and abroad. Now this Adelaide-based four-piece will take their fans into new territory with their ambitious second album 'Stranger’.

The Sisters are based at Tutti Arts’ studios, a creative hub in Adelaide’s south. Over several years, they’ve collaborated with a host of high profile musicians, including Michael Ross (Electric Fields) and Mario Spate (Badcop), to forge this nine track album of well-honed pop anthems that tackle universal themes of love, pain and loss. ‘Stranger’ is a powerful and vulnerable work, but as singer Caroline Hardy says, you can still “put it on and crank it!”
