The Laurels and Nicholas Allbrook have been friends for many years now. Sharing stages, beers, cheers, vans, bands and fans around Australia. They first met each other in 2009 when The Laurels were asked to support Tame Impala in Sydney, the rest as they say is history!
Known for their psychedelic, shoehaze bliss, The Laurels have been praised and suported around the world from the who's who of psychedelic rock. Their reputation has earnt them invitations to tour with The Black Angels, Wooden Shjips, Dead Meadow, Swerve Driver and Lee Ranaldo just to name a few. The Laurels have been enjoying a little time off, writing their next record and learning how to paint with water colours.
On the other hand Nicholas has not stopped for a moment, he never has, after enjoying time as Tame Impala's bass player, Nicholas focused his attention towards releasing hits and touring the universe with his galactic gargantuan band Pond, drumming for rising star Peter Bibby and also releasing his own remarkable debut solo record "Ganough, Wallis and Fatuna".
It's fair to say Nicholas was the only man capable of getting The Laurels off the couch and back on the road.
The Laurels have brand new songs to show off as well as a brand new drummer they're pretty excited to show you too.
Joining The Laurels and Nicholas on stage will be local legends and party starters The Pinheads and D'Luna
There's bound to be some magic on stage from these two stalwarts of psychedelic rock!
Make sure yo don't miss out on this really special run of shows.
