Support from SAYAH

The first thing that strikes you about Thandi Phoenix is her voice. Powerful, soulful and honest, her vocals will stop you in your tracks.

The Sydney singer-songwriter has been touted as “one of Australia's most promising up and comers” (The AU Review), with songs that blend pop with electronica and raw, honest storytelling. Her talents come endorsed by internationals like Jhene Aiko, Tinashe, Rudimental and Tinie Tempah, all of whom have called on Thandi for support slots on their Australian tours. Thandi was called upon by powerhouse Vera Blue, as her main support on her 2017 sold out national run.

Thandi's incredible recent singles ‘Cleopatra’ and ‘Say It’ were added to full rotation across triple j and across NOVA nights. Produced with UK electronic powerhouse Sigma, 'Say It' has been a favourite among fans - debuting at #77 on the National Australian airplay chart, as well as being the 7th most played track on triple j. Her previous single, the enormous DnB banger ‘My Way’ was produced with hit makers & close friends Rudimental – taking Thandi’s name around the world as well as ticking over 2.9 million plays on Spotify alone. The track was added to high rotation on triple j and was a fan favourite, performing it live for MTV TRL.

Her track ‘Standing Too Close’, combined hints of UK garage and was added to full rotation on triple j and held the #1 spot in the Australian Spotify Viral Charts for 3 weeks. While her 2016 release ‘Tell Me Where All The Lovers Have Gone’ was added to full rotation on Triple J, as well as hitting #1 on Spotify’s Australian viral charts. Her debut 2015 single ‘Come Around’ scored a personal shout-out from Richard Kingsmill and laid the groundwork for her being named FBi Radio’s Independent Artist of the Week.

Her powerhouse vocal and prowess as an artist have also seen Thandi called on by some of Australia’s biggest talents: performing with Ta-ku and Wafia at the Sydney Opera House, as well as being asked to perform on Triple J Like A Version taking on Portishead’s classic ‘Glory Box’. She’s also been called on for sets at top-tier festivals like Splendour in the Grass, Snow Tunes, This That, Spilt Milk and Curveball.

Thandi captures audiences and new fans through her electric performances and killer tracks; don’t miss Thandi Phoenix as she catapults into 2020!
