Indie Rock/ R&B/Soul/ Funk
Following a dramatic car accident in 2019 during which he hit his head, lost his memory, and rescued his charred passport from an ensuing fire (we told you it was dramatic), T. Lopea found himself stuck in Sydney with only a guitar, a stolen briefcase and an unstoppable urge to make music.
This Spring, you’ll get the chance to see the elusive indie rock artist live in concert, joined by his full band: the International Men of Mystique, as they embark on an East Coast tour to launch up new singles "Who Are You" & "Black Memories". Together they will rock your socks off and leave you questioning who you really are.
“I don’t have my clothes, my passport no nothing. Some other guy Tea Low Pea or something I have his things maybe he has all mine? Must be old man I don’t know.” - Big Nick
T. Lopea will be supported by Sydney based artists Melita, and Elysaé.
Melita sails between R&B/Soul, Funk and Yacht Rock grooves to create a smooth yet cosmic sonic world. Inspired by fusion classics like Steely Dan and current R&B/Soul artists like Raveena, Moonchild and Kali Uchis, her sound is eclectic and nostalgic. Her debut single “Hearticulate” delves into the perils of overthinking and how this can cloud intuition and access to your true feelings.
Elysaé’s acoustic driven style of storytelling through song serves as a way to encourage others to feel at home within themselves and to be brave enough to be who you are, even when everyone is watching. Her debut EP ‘You Might As Well Shout’ speaks on all the different ways in which self-expression is both necessary and empowering.
