In 2004 whilst touring with his band Nick was approached by the influential rock band Diamond Head to join the band as their singer/songwriter. The highlight of Nicks career came about in 2011 when Sonisphere Festival organizers asked Diamond Head to open for Metallica at the prestigious Knebworth House, UK and Snowhall Parc, France.

The New Calm were formed in late 2017 when Guillaume Beague (Bass Guitar) joined Anthony Hellwig
(Drums) and Gary Summers (Vocals/Guitar) whose previous band 'Kham' were left without a bass player.
With a change of name the band have been spending serious time in rehearsal and working on honing their sound.
While Each member has quite different tastes in music styles, they come together to create their own take on the
Alt Rock genre. Once being described as 'Groove Grunge' and also being told they sound like a cross between
Karnivool and Tool. The songs range from bold to more subdued slow burners. And with some new recordings
simmering away in the pipeline, The New Calm are set to get their music into your earholes in 2021.
