The Perth Blues Club presents Steve Tallis & the Snakes of Desire

Steve started playing music in 1962. He is an Australian Griot (Storyteller), a Blues Shaman, living in and performing in USA, Europe, India, Pakistan, Africa, Mexico and Asia, opening for some of the biggest names in music (eg Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, BB King, Tina Turner, Joe Cocker, Eric Clapton, Eric Burdon, Tom Petty, Mick Jagger, Ben Harper, Buddy Guy etc). Steve has performed at many International and National Festivals. His love of blues, gospel and a cappella field hollers shows both in his live shows and recordings. Awards include "Songwriter Of The Year", "Most Original Work", "Album Of The Year" and WA Music Industry’s Hall of Fame, featuring in the books – "Who’s Who of Australian Rock and Blues", "Working Musicians" and "Further Down the Road".
He is currently working on a new album (following his last internationally critically acclaimed album “The First Degree”) to be released later in 2019. His lineup for the show at one of his favourite venues – The Perth Blues Club” – October 22, 2019 – is Phil Bradley, Hans-AageDeberitz and Chobby. Not to be missed. (The show will also be recorded)

Steve Tallis & the Snakes of Desire will be supported by Bret Mosley (7.30pm) and Warm Ups (9.45pm)

Bret Mosley

A diverse journey from his small Texas desert town origins to NYC’s indie music scene informs Bret Mosley’s Americana sound, which popmatters.com described as “...no more country than R&B, no more folk than rock.” NeuFutur Magazine commended his debut release, ‘Light & Blood’ as “a heart-felt masterpiece”. With over 2000 headlining dates under his belt, he has opened for notable international artists Trombone Shorty, Ivan Neville, George Porter, Jr., Jackie Greene, The Blind Boys of Alabama & others. In Oz, Mosley has shared the stage with Ian Moss, Tex Perkins, et al. He's been a standout at the Nukara Music Festival, and played to capacity crowds at the Blues at Bridgetown Festival.

Warm Ups

Warm Ups is a blues band inspired by second-wave blues artists like John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Otis Rush, BB King, Albert King and Buddy Guy. They play sets that will thrill you, get you in the groove and make you feel like dancing.
