Sound as Ever Presents The Killjoys 'Ruby' & Friends ON HOLD | NEW DATE TBA
Programmed by Jane Gazzo
Melbourne darlings The Killjoys play their 1990 ARIA winning debut album 'Ruby' in full for a special one-off performance on the Sound As Ever stage at Leaps and Bounds.
Featuring the classics 'Fall Around Me' , 'Michael Told Me' and 'Sometimes Blue' plus the return of Caroline Schwerkolt on vibraphone, this will be a very special performance from a much loved Melbourne band.
Joining the Killjoys are local heroes Glenn Bennie and Vincent Giarrusso from Underground Lovers. Known for their vast back catalogue spanning over two decades and 9 albums, Glenn and Vince will bring a softer and more experimental side of their repertoire when they play Fitzroy Town Hall. Finally, the return of David Johnstone from Ammonia! Ammonia were a much loved staple of Triple J in the 90s with such memorable hits as 'Drugs' (95) & 'You're Not The Only One Who Feels This Way' (97).
The Sound as Ever stage sees Dave from Ammonia playing hits from the Mint 400 LP with a brand new band.
Sound as Ever was formed in Feb 2020 by Jane Gazzo and Scott Thurling to celebrate and document Australian music from the 1990s.
