Indie folk/ folk rock
RIPPLED SUN - Looking for music that will hit you with the warmth and intensity of those first rays of sunlight when you open the Venetian blinds the day after a big night out?
Once heard, never forgotten, simultaneously powerful and vulnerable, the vocals of Rippled Sun lead singer & songwriter, Sienna Langenheim will reach deep into your soul.
Rippled Sun blend a gritty Inner West Folk Rock vibe with soaring vocals, honest storytelling, and skilled instrumentation - honed from their high school friendships from Newtown Performing Arts High and their history gigging & living around the Inner West.
For one night only at Lazybones, they’re showcasing their latest self-titled album recorded in the famous Universal Music Studios, supported by fellow young emerging artists Sam Green and The Birds. Unmissable.
SAM GREEN - Hailing from the Northern Rivers, Sam Green is shaping his distinctive sound in Sydney’s indie music scene, carving out a space all his own.
Sam's music blends the cathartic intensity of indie oz rock, inspired by artists like Matt Corby and Gang of Youths, with an undercurrent of folk that brings a raw, honest edge.
Performing a dynamic blend of originals and covers, Sam is joined by his talented peers from the Conservatorium of Music; Teej Barrett on electric guitar, Rachael Glendenning on bass, and Natalie Iacullo on drums.
THE BIRDS - Campfire heart warmers, melodic ramblings, even a song dedicated to our old friend the Cooks River... The Birds are throwing a bit of folk and a bit of country into the camp oven along with some good old rock and roll, and serving up some tasty tunes right in the heart of Marrickville.
This young and oh, so talented sister duo of Sally Anne and Georgie Bird will be joined by their dear friend Toby Biernhoff- Giles on drums and banjo. So roll on up for a fun time with The Birds!
