All women’s rock band from Maningrida West Arnhem Land
One night only, a special performance by the West Arnhem Land rockers Ripple Effect Band. All the way from the top end of Australia, these women are guaranteed to pull audiences in with their stories, songs in language and exciting saltwater reggae rock. Last year their album Mayawa was featured as album of the week on Triple R and PBS and the band will be playing these songs, as well as introducing new material for their next album. After packed shows in Victoria last year, Melbourne audiences already know this is a show not to miss, it will get you dancing and fill your hearts with the sounds and songs of remote Indigenous Northern Territory.
