Pat Thomas is a globally recognized Ghanaian vocalist and songwriter famed for his work in the highlife bands of Ebo Taylor, and with Marijata and the Three Beans during the 1970s. Between 1974 and 1996, he issued more than a dozen solo recordings of his own such as Stay There (1976), Asawa Do (1978), and Hitsville Revisited with Taylor and Uhuru-Yenzu, offering a unique take on highlife and Afro-pop. His catalog has been reissued more than once by a variety of labels. Thomas remains active in the 21st century.
In recent decades, he has recorded and performed with the Kwashibu Area Band; in fact, his first internationally released set with current material was 2015's Pat Thomas & Kwashibu Area Band on Strut.
