MICK THOMAS’ ROVING COMMISSION: 

Raconteur, troubadour, balladeer and poet, Mick Thomas best known as the song master of icons Weddings Parties Anything, returns to the Brunswick Ballroom for a Grand Final Eve Eve party with his band The Roving Commission featuring Squeezebox Wally on Piano Accordion,  Ben Franz  (The Waifs) on bass, Dave Folley on drums (Tex Perkins) and bright new talent on guitar and vocals, Brooke Taylor with Mick’s unique mix of folk, roots and country and occasional cameo by ex WPA violinist, Jen Anderson (who will be performing on Sep 28).

Possibly the most prolific man in music at the moment, Mick brought in 2023 with yet another album, “Where only Memory Can Find You” which hit the ARIA Top 20.

Having launched the album in the first part of 23’, Mick took off to the UK to play Glastonbury sharing the stage with Billy Bragg.

He’s now back to showcase songs form the latest album but also expect hits form the Roving Commission’s back catalogue as well as a sprinkling of Weddoes classics.
