Indie, pop and folk
Gracie Jean and the Rolling Blizzards are a superstar assembly of players from across Sydney’s indie, pop and folk worlds, who combine to make a rollicking Nashville-esque sound bigger than its parts. Helmed by country-pop songstress Gracie Jean, whose killer vocals and humourous charm will have you clutching your heart and then line-dancing as the night progresses, The Rolling Blizzards combine luscious harmonies, a rock-solid rhythm section, finger-picked banjo and soulful piano stylings with a set of country smash hits to create a show you won’t forget. There will be a prize for best dressed attendee, as well as an opportunity to learn a line dance, so make sure you don't miss out.
The Blizzards’ debut ‘Nashville Bound’ show in 2024 saw Will Robinson (Smalls) melting faces with his electric guitar, songwriter Isobel Knight contribute harmonies and acoustic strummage, and Dennis Hionis, one of the hardest working bass session players in Sydney, hold down the lower frequencies. Joel Wybrew keeps neat time, Luke Sweeting (Lo Behold Projects) pours the sauce on the keys, and Reuben Ryan (CityFolk RnR) brought the banjo twang. Whether you’re a long term country music fan or just someone in need of a fun night out, The Rolling Blizzards have a song to tug at your heart and get your boots out to the dancefloor.
