Herb Majesty is honoured to join in collaboration with a much loved pioneer of Reggae music in Australia, vocalist Ras Roni.
Originally from Barbados, Roni’s career stretches back to the 1970s London Reggae scene with legendary acts The Undivided, Rico Rodriguez and The Cimarons. Arriving in Australia in 1978 he formed Un Tabu, a groundbreaking act credited with helping to introduce Reggae Music and Culture down under, achieving mainstream recognition with the inaugural ‘Rock Against Racism’ Sydney Town Hall concert in 1979. He went on to collaborate with iconic Indigenous Artists Joe Geia (Nya Nunga) and Bart Willoughby (Mixed Relations) (to name a few), as well as African and Pacific Reggae groups such as Calabash, Bu Bacca, Reggae Movements and Montego Bay. Since 2007 Roni has been lead vocalist for much loved Sydney group the Strides, recording 5 albums and performing wide and far.
