Special Guest Stormhorse:

What’s not to love about music that takes you back in time, sparking vivid memories along the way. This is Stormhorse, an Adelaide band that has cultivated its own brand of powerful soul-infused blues, inspired by a mutual love of music from a bygone era.

Described as a collective of young talent with old souls, the band delivers music that’s both invigorating and comforting. And, as the saying goes, the kids can play. They’re all acclaimed musicians, including a few graduates from the AdelaideUniversity Elder Conservatorium.

Your retrospective radar will tingle as you detect the influence of music from the60s, 70s and early 80s. Motown, soul, rock, blues, and funk all get the nod, including fragments of jazz (especially when they play live).

And yes, the warmth of tape is a key feature of how they record. Stormhorse is steeped in passion for the past. But don’t be fooled, they have a successful future firmly in sight.
