Jay Stocker, a talented up-and-coming jazz and contemporary vocalist, is back at Lazybones this March!
Jay was recently accepted into the Conservatorium of Music for Jazz Vocal studies, and is looking forward to celebrating with you! With smooth, rich vocals influenced by greats including Ella Fitzgerald and Chet Baker, Jay sucks you in with her beautiful tone and raw emotions that shine through in a variety of different styles.
Jay has been a fixture across Sydney's vibrant music scene, collaborating with numerous gifted young musicians in a variety of different venues across Sydney. Since selling out her two lazybones shows, she completed phase 2 of the prestigious Talent Development project and performed at Ken Rosewall Arena in the highly regarded Sydney Olympic Park as a soloist. Similarly, she performed at the renowned Qudos Bank Arena as a backing vocalist in the 2023 Schools Spectacular for an audience of over 20,000 people. She has also been seen performing around Sydney with the Big Band, “Sydney Youth Jazz Orchestra,” as the lead vocalist and part of the trombone section. Jay was a lead character in the feature-length musical movie, “Plan B,” which recently premiered in Event Cinemas Hornsby and had its soundtrack released on spotify.
