Contemporary jazz sextet playing original compositions

Having been together now for more than 10 years, Hammerhead have become one of the most exciting jazz ensembles in Australia. An all original repertoire showcases the eclectic compositions from bandleader and tenor saxophonist Jason Bruer. Whilst congruent to a hard bop aesthetic, Bruer's compositions are coloured by an altogether different palette including hard edged Urban Jazz, Hard Bop, Funk and Chamber Jazz.
