From organizing their own mini festivals and touring nationally and internationally, to playing in alleyways, backyards and in front of churches. Wollongong garage punks Hoon have developed a chaotic neutral between composure and compulsion. 

A group not to be penned down within the genre, Hoon’s heavily animated live show is reinforced by the sonic mayhem conveyed in their song writing.  From bursts of raucous 2-minute thrillers - to dynamic 5-minute progressive ballads with hints of psychedelic and sludge metal. Hoon have developed an eclectic of chaotic garage punk that pays homage to their predecessors, whilst remaining distinct in the contemporary. 

2020 had brought forth a new chapter of Hoon, kicking off the year by curating and playing at the all ages mini-fest ‘All Of Us’ and their performance at the Farmer & The Owl Festival before coming to a Covid enforced halt. With new music recently recorded at The Brain Studios, Hoon will be back up and blaring a new release in good time, but before then; it’s time to dust off the cobwebs.
