Harmonica Workshop | 7pm

The traditional workshop will start at 7.00pm with Gus Collinson from the West Australian Harmonica Club. We advise, you bring a Diatonic 10 hole harmonica in the Key of 'C’ if you wish to partake in a beginners lesson.

HARP ATTACK | 7.30pm

Always looking forward to Harp Attack when the Tin Sandwiches take over the Blues club. Get there early and have a chat with other like-minded harmonica enthusiasts, perhaps find out about the Harmonica club, this is all good stuff!

Hosted by Diamond Dave and the Doodaddies, Dave Billing (vocals, harp), Dave Brewer (vocals, guitar). John Wilson (bass) and Yugon “Chob” Chobanoff (drums). Hailing from Perth, Western Australia, Diamond Dave and The Doodaddies are a four piece Chicago style Blues Band offering a solid selection of uplifting grooves covering swinging shuffles, soul, boogaloo, 'cry in your beer' blues and more. Featuring the sensational harmonica playing of "Diamond" Dave Billing and the red hot guitar chops of Dave Brewer, the doodaddies, prove not only that the roots of the blues are strong and far reaching , but the future of the blues is bright.

Guest Harp Players:
Paul Daly - with his signature vocal and harp style, engaging stage presence and honest delivery, Paul has established a loyal fan base on the WA blues scene. Paul was the front man for the Heavy Hitters for many years and more recently the harp man for the Karski Daly Band. Daly’s passionate and powerful delivery of R&B standards and originals is widely respected by his musical peers, R&B aficionados and audiences. No newcomer to performing R&B, Daly’s voice brings a depth of feeling for his audiences, with his scorching harp playing capturing the essence of Chicago blues power.
Tommy “Boss” Bosson is one of Perth’s popular exponents of traditional Chicago and West Coast Swing Harmonica, and a firm favourite here at the PBC. Starting out playing Dr Feelgood, style Pub Blues, Boss has been playing the Harp and honing his chops, fronting bands for over 35 years. Hailing from the North East of England, Gigging on the pub, club and university circuit, covering the UK. More recently settling back in Perth he has resurrected an old project, singing and playing harp with a new line up “The Score”.
Elwood Birgden.  Elwood was 13 years old when he  started playing his dad’s harmonica in March 2020 at the start of the COVID lockdown. Since that time he has progressed at an amazing rate with Skype lessons from International star Mark Hummel. Elwood has a natural talent, practices frequently and is now playing songs by blues harp legend Big Walter Horton.
