Grapes of Mirth returns to Coonwarra! The lineup this year is HUGE! It's the ultimate Christmas gift!

Five of Australia’s best comedians and your host Merrick Watts will make their way to the Penola Racing Club for 6 hours of comedy, music, wine, gourmet grub and the most amazing festival vibes.

Through the great support of the Coonawarra Vignerons, we've been given access to a giant air-conditioned marquee at the Penola Racing Club. So, we'll be protected, whatever the weather conditions on the day.

And to top it all off, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy wine on the day, from not one, but from TWELVE WINE PRODUCERS! Joining us are DiGiorgio Family Wines, Banks Thargo Wines, Katnook Estate, Hollick Estates, Patrick of Coonawarra, Parker Coonawarra Estate, Balnaves of Coonawarra, The Blok Coonawarra, Brand & Sons, Raidis Estate, Zema Estate, Redman Wines.

PETER HELLIAR - Simply one of Australia's most loved comedians, ever since his first appearance on our TV screens on 'Rove' back in 1999. Pete has performed stand up for years, selling out shows right across the country He's the star and director of Network 10's 'How To Stay Married' and makes as laugh four nights a week on 'The Project', the beloved show where news is delivered differently.

CLAIRE HOOPER - Over the last decade, Claire has been captivating audiences and touring brilliant solo shows across the country to critical acclaim. She's also co-host of 'The Great Australian Bake Off' for Foxtel’s LifeStyle Channel alongside the seriously funny Mel Buttle, as well as judges Maggie Beer and Matt Moran and their fourth season aired in 2019.

NAZEEM HUSSAIN - Star of 'Orange Is The New Brown' and survivor of 'I'm a celebrity get me out of here', Naz is one of the most likeable comedians in the biz. Stand up comedy is Nazeem’s first love. He won the Best Newcomer Award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Super funny, utterly engaging and adored by punters and comedians alike. Don't miss his set!

DAVE THORNTON - Dave has built a global reputation for his honest, engaging, whip-smart and damn funny comedy. Dave’s TV credentials include hosting Channel 9’s 20 to 1, regular appearances as a co-host on 'The Project', and hosting Fox Footy's 'The Beep Test'. He's also had a crack at acting on Channel 9's 'House Husbands' and the ABC TVs 'Upper Middle Bogan'; generally, if there's catering involved, Dave will be there!

DANIELLE WALKER - A slightly deranged girl, known for her dark and twisted everyday observations and stories. Winner of the ‘Best Newcomer’ award at the 2018 Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Danielle also appeared as ‘Ranger Danny’ alongside stars Kate McLennan and Kate McCartney on the show everyone is talking about - “GetKrack!n” for ABC TV.

MERRICK WATTS - The "Merric" from Merrick and Rosso. Mez, as he is affectionately known, has worked at almost every radio and TV station in the country. He also appears regularly on 'Studio 10' where he often ruins their infomercials and cooking segments. Mez loves wine, he also loves writing about himself in the 3rd person!

Grapes of Mirth provides the ultimate festival day with five headline comedy sets, a host with the most, and some sweet DJ tunes (brought to you by the one and only, DJ PEDRO MOSHMAN!) to keep you entertained before, between, and after the comedy has ended.
