DOORS 9:00PM / Culture Reset Is A Visual Sonic Black Odyssey

"Going Under: Culture Reset", curated by GLO, is the second in a series of three artist-led shows at Mary's Underground as part of Vivid Sydney's 2022 live music program.

Culture Reset is a Black Odyssey through space and time delivered from the perspective of the black diasporic experience. We have assembled sound and movement artists that evoke a connection to culture. This shared truth binds us together, and we invite you to join us as we the people venture into a night of Black centric rhythms.

The "Going Under" series invites artists to curate a night that dives deep into their Sydney/Eora, to bare the stories and experiences of their community, their soul, the sound of their City.
Mary's Underground opens up to the immersive and cross-disciplinary, facilitating a space for artists to create an experience that is bold, evocative and unforgettable, bringing us together through their soundtrack.
It is an opportunity for artists to explore their relationships to each other and the city, to celebrate long time collaborations, to open up new ones. Each night is unique to the collective of that evening and how they choose to share "what beats at the heart of the soul of Sydney/Eora.

Part of Vivid Sydney and City of Sydney’s XCelerate program.
